Recentyl got three good size hard maple trees and cut them into five quarter and three inch slabs. It is drop dead gorgeous wood. Makes beautiful kitchen cabinets for a real country look,  Also makes beautiful mantles, and tables

It takes a lot more time and work and therefore cost more but the product is beautiful

Live edge walnut is 10 feet long and 28" at the widest point and 2 inch thick.. This walnut comes from the Dayton Ohio area

These we from a 11 logs, seven 12 foot logs  and four 8 foot logs. These where killed by the asian ashboare beetles. THey consume the water bearing layer under the bark and kill the trees but leave the lumber alone.
